C'e Solo La Speranza: "The man in the glass"

onelove52393:

When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.

For it isn’t your father, or mother, or wife
Whose judgment upon you must pass
The fellow whose verdict counts most in your…

"Choices will continually be necessary and — let us not forget — possible. It is a deadly error to fall into the notion that when feelings are extremely strong we can do nothing but act on them."

"Akela nahi main khuli aankhon se neend mein chalta
(I am not alone in those who walk in their sleep, eyes wide open)
Girta jyaada, kam sambhalta

(Still there are no doubts or suspicion)
Niklega phir se suraj jo dooba
(The sun that has set will once again rise)
Hairat ho sabko aisa ajooba hai mera jahan!
(My strange world is one that amazes everyone)
Udne ko sau pankh diye hai
(I have been given a hundred wings to fly)
Chadne ko khula aasmaan
(I have been given the open skies to rise)
Mudne ko hai karvat karvat
(There are so many points to make new turns)
Aur badne ko mera jahan

Life has moments that feel as if the sun has blackened to tar and the entire world turned to ice.

It feels as if Hades rose from the depths of Tartarus with his vile demons solely for the purpose of gathering to personally torture you, and that their genuine intent of mental, emotional, and spiritual anguish is tearing you to shreds.

Your heart weighs as heavily as leaden legs which you would drag yourself forward with if not for the quicksand that overcomes you, pulling you down inch by inch, paralyzing your will and threatening oblivion.

And all the while fire and brimstone pour from the sky, pelting only you.

Truly, that is what it feels like. But that feeling is a trial that won’t last forever.

Never give up.

Galadriel: Mithrandir, why the Halfling?
Gandalf (Mithrandir): Saruman believes it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. I have found it to be quite the contrary. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.
Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps it is because I am afraid and he gives me courage.
